Utilizing unconventional containers, in this case a cup and saucer, we made these lovely treats for mom. Many utensils we use in daily life can be turned into vessels for ikebana. Special attention and creativity will solve the problem of securing the flowers without using kenzans. Can you imagine paper clips are used to secure the flowers so you can show a large surface of water as “tea” and also show off the pretty tea cup? The tea cup is as much a part of the charming arrangement as the flowers.
